- Description
- The Weaving Information File (WIF) format is a weaving information interchange format that is supported by most major weaving software packages. WIF allows users to share weaving designs between different weaving software programs and is human readable with a text editor. It is based on the Microsoft Windows .ini file format. WIF was collaboratively developed by a group of programmers of major software packages available to handweavers, including Patternland Weave Simulator, Fiberworks PCW, Swiftweave, WeaveIt, WeaveMake, Proweave and WeavePoint.
