- PDF/E-1 is a subtype of PDF based on PDF 1.6 and meant for engineering and technical documentation. It was made available by Adobe in 2008 under the international standard ISO 24517-1:2008. It supports interactive media, animation and 3D engineering models, and allows mark-up.
