Description

The Tagged Image File for Fax Extended (TIFF-FX) format is an extension of the TIFF format. New TIFF tags are defined to allow the mapping of Fax-specific attributes commonly associated with black and white fax and colour fax files.

  Tagged Image File Format for Internet Fax (TIFF-FX): Removed identification signatures in response to findings from The National Library of New Zealand and Tessella. Previous signature is reliant on the existence of the 'NewSubFileType' tag, however this is not the exclusive domain of TIFF-FX and was therefore resulting in false-positive identification.
